Christmas Baking
It’s December and Christmas is almost here!
I love Christmas so much.
We put up an interim tree on Thursday and we’ll get a fancy one closer to Christmas form Sam’s Christmas Trees as we are having Christmas here this year!
This weekend we’re off at a family wedding in Orange which is fun!
But I thought it might be nice to share with you this wonderful fruit cake recipe I made this week. I love Christmas baking so much.
I like to make star biscuits and rocky road as little gifts and then I make a boiled Christmas pudding and Fruit cakes too. I just love it. I put the carols on and I get right in the mood.
Do you like to bake at Christmas?
If so HERE is a fruit cake recipe for you to try from Stephanie Alexanders Cookbook.
THIS is the Plum Pudding recipe I used. I love the cloth puddings. I just dont think the steamed ones are quite the same. It’s definitely a lot of work with all the calico etc but so worth it!
The most important thing is the quality of your dried fruits and I can highly recommend the ones form Singing Magpie Produce. They are incredible!
